Sorted issues another local garage couldn't sort

Had an issue with a vehicle we delivered to Cornwall. Vehicle was taken to a local garage and they couldn't sort it out. Customer ended up calling Marc at Cornwall Tuning.

Marc did a great job of not only sorting the problem but kept the customer & I informed all the way through. Shame he is so far away!!

" Vehicle was taken for an mot at a local garage. They noticed the DPF had been tampered with and it was smoking heavily under load. They fitted a second hand DPF but the vehicle still smoked and they didn't write the DPF software back in.

Obviously the DPF started to get blocked and couldn't regen itself. Vehicle ended up in limp mode.

That's when I got a call.

I checked the vehicle over and found the following:

Boost pipe had a big split on it. Pretty obvious when there was oil around it and boost was leaking out of it. No wonder it smoked under load. Not sure how that could have been missed.

Vehicle still smoked a bit so concluded the map that was on it was over fueling. So..........

Next we wrote a new map turning the DPF software back on and Stage 1 power. Then we forced a regen on the DPF and got the vehicle out of limp mode.

Took the vehicle out for a good run and make sure it was regenerating itself.

All good. No more Limp Mode. No more smoke under load. Bags of power and regenerating itself as it should do.

Time to take for MOT.

IT passed. With flying colours.
